I’m a New INTJ!

Hello everyone,

I’m an INTJ and I’ve recently “discovered” INTJ University for myself! I’ve known I was an INTJ for quite a while, but I always wanted to find a reputable source that explains my personality. Does anyone else have problems with bad friends? I only have one (I’m in high school) and she is the literal opposite of me: dim witted, refusing to learn for your own good, not curious, very stubborn when I offer her advice. How do I make friends with “my sort”? There is no one as far as I know who shares the love of learning, curiosity, and the creativity. (I can make 3/4 of a story by coming up with it in a second)

Thanks for your time!

Yes I also can't find someone to share my interests with. Not only that, but my friendships don't last long.🙂

I don’t really give a fuck about friends, I think you are caring too much. You don’t need a “friend” you need yourself. If the friends you have are toxic and are not adding anything to the discussion, they can fuck off simply ghost them or start talking to them less and less. If they actually contribute to the friendship maybe they are worth acknowledging.

Source: Your Brain if you think about it using logic.

Hello awesome1, I think most of people go through the frustrations of not feeling connected to someone who understands and or has commonality with oneself. I strongly agree with the statement that differences are good, even with people who have similar or the same personalities, but at the same time I only met one person with whom I have felt and also so have they that we were the same. The way we felt, understood and expressed ourselves were similar and the same. At times it was as if we had the same brain and the small quirks were expressed to the tee like for instance the way we finished each-others sentences, among other small things, but the little things do matter and they added up to the point where we are like family to each other and not a day goes by now that I want to spent more time communicating with this person and being apart of their life because they are the sister I never had at home. Currently though, life had happened and we don’t talk as much as we used to, but that doesn’t mean its the end. And there have been pthers who were similar enough like that but not to the same degree and I love them just as much though recently feel as if i am not the best I could be or at the bar I once was at. All that said, from my experience it is possible. You just have to keep looking. Maybe someone on here has Interests like yours. What are they? What is your drive for learning? What kind of questions do you ask? What do you reflect on? Do you have a belief or religion? Whats life back where you are? What would it take to get put of your comfort zone? What general thing about yourself would you feel comfortable with sharing? Are deep conversations one of the best ways to feel closer and connected to people? Have you tried communities that focus on one of your interests? (Mine was an app that had a community for The Legend of Zelda) Does your family even get you? Some times we go through funks but those pass with time and sometimes with added consistent effort on your part. If you can’t fond anyone here you should keep looking. Having a rarer personality make seem like a challenge for some but theres way too many people to not find that kind of person you are looking for. They may not be what you had in mind but they also may fit the description. And once you find that person hold on to them like the family heirloom that was cursed twice over but your 490th great gramma on yo daddys side. A silly over exaggeration, but I feel its clwar to not loose them. Also what have you tried so far and how long before you tried some other method? I hope this was thought provoking to some degree and encouraging. Have a good day :)
