Well I guess that depends...

A lot of what we see is influenced by our past and upbringing.
It seems like it takes some time away to actually form our own
"view" of everything.

We see things through glasses of conditioning which begins as soon as we grow up from a newborn and get to our senses. These conditioning forms the basis of our assumptions. Upon these assumptions we start making our deductions. Most of the time they happen to be correct. Our minds are so much conditioned that while discussing in a group everybody makes, understands and validate these assumptions without even a second thought. Say for example if I say Sun rises in the east and sets in the west. or say sun shines brightest around noon. or sun has gone down.

Whatever so called facts I have stated above are commonly accepted understanding of 'truths'. Now try to reflect on those once again.

Now those are quite contrasting examples which I have quoted and easy to make out. But in day to day life this is happening in other areas of life in a very subtle way and is difficult and at times almost impossible to make somebody understand what the real truth is all about.
